Company profile
Cosun is a modern, future-oriented cooperative, originated in the Netherlands and with the world as its field of activity. We work with thousands of growers, both members and suppliers. We know the enormous potential of plants and know how to convert them into useful solutions for every day. Cosun not only produces vegetable ingredients and food for humans and animals, but also green, biobased solutions and energy. Cosun Beet Company (food and non-food applications from our sugar beet), Aviko (world player in the field of potato products), SVZ (vegetable and fruit processing), Sensus (soluble dietary fibers), and Duynie (a European player in the value of secondary flows of the food industry) are part of the Cosun concern.
Cosun R&D and Cosun Innovation are an important part of Cosun in this respect and are working together with and for the benefit of the business groups on innovations (of new products and processes) and optimizations (of existing processes and products).
The ambition is to make the most value out of the raw material; good for the environment, profitability and meets the social need for responsible products and production methods. Our companies also supply products to the animal feed sector and residual products are used for biogas production. One of Cosun`s bullitpoints in her vision: being 100% circular in 2030.
Cosun was founded more than 110 years ago by Dutch sugar beet growers who joined forces in a cooperative. The cooperative has around 9,400 members or shareholders and has grown into a company with around 3,500 employees and a group turnover of approximately € 2.2 billion.
Student profile
Various internship and graduation assignments are available every year within Cosun R&D and the Cosun business groups. There are about 100 in total, divided over all kinds of disciplines. Within Cosun R&D we can welcome about 25 interns every year.

Career opportunities
Within Cosun you will soon be given your own responsibility. The positions within Cosun are generally broad, which means that you will also develop broadly, experience and participate in a lot of the work field, and where you have the opportunity to fill the position as you see it fits. This, of course, within the framework of Cosun's position and values and standards.
There are annual (performance) interviews where you talk to your manager about the extent to which the tasks and projects have been realized, but also where the further development opportunities lie. We use this annual performance review to enter into a targeted development agreement with you. This development can be aimed at taking steps within the current position, but also at subsequent steps in your career within the business group or elsewhere within the group.
