Mocean Offshore is an independent engineering & consultancy firm, specializing in hydrodynamics and optimizing marine operations. Mocean Offshore was founded in 2013 and has since focussed fully on accelerating offshore renewable innovations and making offshore operations more effectient. Over the years the company has grown to a team of 20 FTE consisting of mainly academic engineers with practical offshore installation know-how. Our team is relatively young and dynamic, but we profit from the experience of our senior specialists. We want to work on cool offshore projects with nice people. In the past 10 years, we have been involved in the engineering of more than 100 windfarms and innovative projects with a wide variation of scope activities. A top 5 of such activities executed by our team include:
1- Hydrodynamic response analyses of installation activities offshore or nearshore using crane vessels, jack-up vessels and other marine spread solutions.
2- Motion response and motion mitigation studies of in-place WTG’s
3- Comparative analyses of various installation methods based on historic forecasts
4- Floater & Mooring design of floating wind concepts
5- Cable installation engineering
Throughout the various activities, a wide range of innovations have been introduced into the projects. Our team is particularly well-experienced in analyzing non-conventional solutions.

Career opportunities
You will start as a junior marine engineer, you will gain experience during various sets of divers projects. If your developments show progress, we will promote you to Marine engineer. After 4-5 years you will be able to run projects as a lead engineer and be in charge of key client contact. During your career at Mocean, you will develop your field of expertise and might become a Project Manager, Senior Specialist, or something else that fit both our needs!
Application procedure
First interview: both technical knowledge and personal ambition will be examined. We will discuss the Mocean Approach and we will discuss expectations and zoom in on potential projects discussed. In a second interview, we will examine your theoretical knowledge via a small set of questions and we will discuss in more detail your personality and ambitions to see if there is a match. When we decide to make you an offer, we offer you a total package. Since we are a small company, our communication-lines are short and we can act fast if needed.
